The Holzprofi E450 is an automatic edge-banding machine designed for continuous processing of panels with a thickness ranging from 8 to 45 mm. The track-type feed system moves the workpieces through the machine at a speed of 7 m/min. This allows for the processing of edge banding materials in rolls ranging from 0.4 to 3 mm, as well as strip materials up to 5 mm.
The machine features a lower glue pot with a 1-kg capacity and a Teflon coating. Six heating cartridges with a total output of 1.49 kW heat the hot-melt adhesive. The system takes approximately 14 to 16 minutes to heat the adhesive from room temperature and approximately 4 to 6 minutes from standby mode.
The machine includes, among other features, an integrated joint milling unit with two high-frequency motors, a trimming unit, and a 3-position flush milling unit. The joint milling unit operates with two motors, each rated at 0.75 kW and 12,000 rpm. The material removal depth can be adjusted from 0 to 2 mm via the micrometric feed guide.
The touchscreen control system with PLC and encoder supports the programming, diagnostics, and monitoring of machine functions. LED indicators provide information on the operating status of the units. The automatic panel guide, the upper pressure bar, and the extendable workpiece support facilitate controlled machining of even larger panels.
